南陵县中医医院肝病科是全国中医院中历史最悠久的肝病专科之一，其前身是成立于1957年的内科肝病组，2008年更名为感染科。其创始人是燕京医学流派的中医大家关幼波和王鸿士，在中医治肝方面做出了杰出贡献，关幼波被誉为“中医肝病大师”及 “疑难重症的克星”，历经半个多世纪的传承和发展，涌现了危北海、陈增谭、钱英、李乾构、徐春军、王国玮等一批现代中医名家。承担了国家“六五”、“七五”、“八五”攻关课题，获得国家级、市级、局级科技进步奖20余项，有四人次获得国务院特殊贡献津贴，多人次担任全国及北京中医药学会、中西医结合学会肝病专业委员会的主任委员、副主任委员、委员等职。目前是北京中医药学会肝胆病专业委员会主任委员挂靠单位，是北京中医药学会师承专业委员会主任委员挂靠单位。历任科主任带领科室传承发展，使感染科（肝病科）不断发展壮大，先后担任肝病科（组）、感染科科主任（组长）的有：危北海、陈增谭、关幼波、高育华、赵伯智、王国玮、徐春军、刘汶、孙凤霞。
近年来感染科以继承和发展名老中医学术思想和临床经验为基础，以科研创新为导向，以提高临床疗效为目标，传承不泥古，创新不离宗，重视古今结合、中西医结合，将感染科发展成为集医教研为一体的中医特色鲜明的临床科室。在此基础上成立了国家中医药管理局”危北海名医工作室” 、北京市中医管理局”关幼波名医工作室”、和北京市中医管理局”王鸿士名医工作室”。
感染科现拥有硕士研究生导师3人，高级职称人员6人，博士学位人员4人，硕士学位人员6人，感染科现主要致力于各种原因肝病的中西医结合诊治，如肝硬化、肝癌、病毒性肝炎、脂肪性肝病、酒精性肝病、自身免疫性肝病、药物性肝病等疾病的防治。现有三个优势病种:“病毒性肝炎”、“脂肪肝”、“肝硬化”；目前开展四个专病专台：“脂肪肝”、“肝硬化”、“肝癌”、“胁痛”。

Department of liver diseases in Beijing Hospital of TCM is one of the oldest liver specialized subject in hospitals nationwide. Its predecessor was the medical liver disease group established in 1957, and then it was renamed the department of infectious disease in 2008. Its founder were Youbo GUAN and Hongshi WANG, who were TCM authorities of yanjing medical school.They had made outstanding contributions to the treatment of liver with TCM, and Youbo GUAN was known as "the master of liver disease in Chinese medicine" and "the killer of difficult diseases". After the inheritance and development of more than half a century, there are a number of modern TCM masters such as Beihai Wei, Zengan CHEN, Ying QIAN, Qiangou LI,Chunjun XU, Guowei WANG, and so on. The department has taken on the subjects of national "six five", "seven five" and "eighty-five", and has won more than 20 national, municipal and local scientific and technological progress awards. There are four persons received special contributions from the state council, and many persons serving as chairmen, vice-chairmen and members in the national and Beijing traditional Chinese medicine associations, the hepatopathy committee in the association of Chinese and western, and so on. Currently, the department is the attached unit of the chairmen of Beijing traditional Chinese medicine association hepatobiliary disease professional committee and Beijing university of traditional Chinese medicine professional committee. The former and current directors led the inheritance and development of the department, and made the department keeping on developing and growing. People who successively served as the head of the department (group) of liver disease and the director (group leader) of the department of infectious disease were Beihai WEI, Zengtan CHEN, Youbo GUAN, Yuhua GAO, Bozhi ZHAO, Guowei WANG, Chunjun XU, Wen LIU, Fengxia SUN.
In recent years, department of infectious diseases is based on the inheritance and development of distinguished veteran TCM doctors’ academic ideas and clinical experience, guided by scientific research innovation, and aims to improve clinical efficacy. Inherit but not limited by old things, Innovate but not departed from the line. We attache importance to combination of ancient and modern medicine and that of Chinese and western medicine, and have developed the department of infectious diseases into a clinical department that sets medical, teaching and research at a whole, with distinct characteristics of TCM. On this basis, the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine “The studio of Doctor Wei Beihai”, Beijing traditional Chinese medicine administration “The studio of Doctor Guan Youbo” and “The studio of Doctor Wang Hongshi” were established.
Now the department has 3 master's degree tutors, 6 senior title staff, 4 persons with doctor's degree, and 6 persons with master's degree. department of infectious diseases mainly focuses on the combination of Chinese and western medicine for various causes of liver diseases, such as liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, drug liver disease, and so on. Now, we have three dominant diseases: “viral hepatitis”, “fatty liver”, and “liver cirrhosis”. There are four special diseases carrying out: “fatty liver”, “liver cirrhosis”, “liver cancer”, and “hypochondriac pain”.
